Tony Byrd, 76, of Mason, passed away on Saturday, January 26. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29 at the Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, January 28 at the church. Mr. Byrd was a cattle farmer. He is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Lynn) Billings of Covington and Lori (Dennis) Harrod of Mason; three sons, Buddy (Melissa) Byrd and Rusty Byrd, both of Mason and Mark (Drema) Byrd of Stanton; four sisters, Mamie Lou Covington of Houston, TX, Alice Fay Miller of Sweetwater, TN, Mary Green of Mason and Lillian Cross of Memphis; four brothers, Shelby Byrd of Maynard, AR, J. D. Byrd of Covington, Bill Byrd and Jerry Byrd, both of Brighton; seven grandchildren, Leah Isome, Morgan Presson, Trey Billings, Brooklin Byrd, Clayton Byrd, Montana Harrod and Cheyenne Harrod and four great grandchildren, Rhett Presson, Kit Presson, Miriam Presson and Avonlea Isome. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Green Byrd; his parents, Robert and Opal Lewis Byrd; one sister, Alma Lane and one brother, Richard Byrd.
