Madison Lynn May

April 12, 2010 — October 24, 2024

Covington, TN

On Thursday, October 24, 2024, Madison "Maddie" Lynn May unexpectedly changed everyone's lives forever and she gained her wings to begin her new journey as a guardian angel.  Entering this world on April 12, 2010, in Covington, Madison was known to be energetic, spunky, mischievous and full of life.

Madison attended Covington High School and planned on a career in welding afterwards.  She was an avid photographer and loved Friday Night Football games.  When not behind the lens or on the field, she loved spending time with friends, capturing moments and creating memories.

She made the decision to give her life to God on May 21, 2023 and was baptized at Tennessee Valley Community Church in Paris, TN.  Her heart was focused on God; therefore, she rededicated her life of October 23, 2024 at Central Baptist Church in Brighton.  She attended and enjoyed being an active youth member at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Covington.

Madison is survived by a loving family:  her mother, Jamie May (Adam Stark) of Covington; her father, Jason (Kacey) May of Paris; her sisters, Emily, Alyssa, Savannah and Karley, all of Covington; her grandparents, Julie Easley of Covington, Allen May of Paris and Joe and Maxine Stark of Brighton; her uncles, Billy Easley and James Easley, both of Covington, Jeremy May of Paris, Joe May of Memphis, Dillon (Monica) Pittman of Henning, and Rollin (Latasha) Stark; her aunts, Ivana (Thomas Bartram) Pittman of Brighton, Felicia May of Munford, Jennifer James of Ripley and Teresa Kindrick of Covington as well as numerous cousins, great aunts, great uncles and great grandparents.  She also had a special bond with her boyfriend, Cole Steeg and friends, Colton Cochran and Hoyt Butterly, Lexi Prater, and many more.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Tom Easley, "Paw" J. L. Smith; her grandmother Lucy May; aunts Tiffany Sandy and Ashley James; great aunt, Liz Ferrell; great uncle, Robert Ferrell, and cousin, Tiffany Newman.

Madison's life will be remembered for the light and laughter she brought into the lives of all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 1 at the Covington Funeral Home with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
