Lawrence Edward Brainerd

Lawrence Edward "Ed" Brainerd, 60, of Memphis, passed away on Thursday, October 10 at Methodist University Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on January 27, 1964 in La Grande, OR.  

Ed worked as the manager of the Computer Systems Support at the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders under a Center of Excellence Grant at the University of Memphis.  He was employed at the University of Memphis for 33 years where he received a Masters Degree.  In addition to his work on computers, Ed enjoyed the sports of Geo-caching and running

He is survived by his mother, Rosalin Wynette "Windy" Williamson of Cove, OR; his father, Larry Brainerd of Cove, OR; three brothers, Steve (Kelly) Brainerd of Millington, Paul (Mari) Brainerd of Cove, OR and Jim (Terre) Greer of Memphis; one niece, Zoey Brainerd of Memphis; two nephews, Justin (Kayla) Brainerd of LaGrande, OR and Regan (Lily) Gilstrap of Stanfield, OR and numerous aunts and uncles.  He was preceded in death by two nephews, Jay Smith and Jeffrey Brainerd. 

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13 from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Covington Funeral Home.
