Kenneth Ray Jones, 89, of Brighton, passed away on Saturday, July 27. Mr. Jones was a retired Master Chief in the U. S. Navy, a member of the Salem A.R.P. Church, an avid outdoors-man with a passion for trapping and a co-founder of the West Tennessee Fur Takers Association. He is survived by one son, Raymond Lee Jones of Drummonds; two daughters, Shelia Jones of Denver, CO and Linda (Allen) Hoffer of Grand Island, NE; one sister, Kathlene Clemons of Broken Bow, OK; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and long time family friend, Sharon Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli Isaac and Etta Barringer Jones; his wife, Sonia Jones; one brother, Riley Jones and one sister, Geneva Walker. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 at the Salem A. R. P. Church in Atoka with interment to follow in the Salem A.R.P. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
