Jerry “Isherwood” Hartsfield, age 79, passed away at his home in Munford on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Mr. Jerry was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church, and a veteran of the United States Army, retiring as a Captain, with a 20+ year service record. Even though he was a military man to his core, he had a special place in his heart for those that called him “Granddaddy.” Mr. Jerry leaves behind his wife Pamela Horn Hartsfield; four daughters, Suzanne (Steve) Shelton, Patricia (Lamar) Rogers, Lauren Enzor, and Joanne (Mark) Coulston; one son, Mike (Cindy) Hartsfield; three step-daughters, Sheila (Talmadge) Sigler, Missy (Ricky) Bradley, and Jennifer (Chris) Pugh; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Glenda Burns, and three brothers, Kenneth Hartsfield, Woodrow (Betty) Hartsfield, and Chris (Doris Ann) Hartsfield. Mr. Jerry is preceded in death by his infant son, Jerry Lynn Hartsfield; his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Anna Miller Hartsfield and his sister, Martha Ann Kellum. Funeral services for Mr. Jerry will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, at the Covington Funeral Home chapel, with interment to follow with military honors in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 26, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
