Howard Freeman, 83, of Covington, passed away on Wednesday, September 20. Mr. Freeman was the owner of Freeman Aircraft Painting which operated from the Covington Municipal Airport over many years and a U. S. Navy veteran.
When he wasn't at the airport, he enjoyed fishing and coaching girls softball, which he did for 20 years.
Howard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Freeman; one son, Marc Freeman of Covington; one daughter, Rhonda Jarju of Pensacola, FL; five brothers, Bud Freeman, Jack Freeman, Doug Freeman, Jimmy Freeman and Bob Freeman, all of Tuscaloosa, AL; three granddaughters, Meagan Freeman Barnes, Kayli Coffey and Jenna Williams and two great grandsons, Jack Barnes and Sam Barnes
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 23 at Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. There is no visitation planned.
