H. A. Hunderup, III, 80, of Burlison, passed away on November 4, 2024 at Methodist North Hospital, surrounded by his family, after a battle with cancer. 

He graduated from McDonogh High School in New Orleans. He served in the Navy Reserves and attended the University of Memphis. H. A. was the owner of The Screen Shop in Millington.

H.A. loved spending time with his family, being a G-Paw a.k.a. Grandpa, fishing, taking care of his land and pond and, of course, watching the LSU Tigers!

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jennifer Russell Hunderup; his two children, Brian Breaux of Memphis and Amy (Richie) Gross of Burlison; five grandchildren, Abigail (Sam) Gala of Munford, Annalise Beanblossom , Dominic Gross and Madison Gross, all of Burlison and Aithan Gonzales of Sevierville, TN; his best bud/brother, A. W. (Sally) Foy of Franklinton, LA; sisters-in-law, Beth Belgrade of Poulsbo, WA, Jean Hunderup Scott of Humboldt, TN and Danna Smith of Munford; nieces and nephews, Grant (Jordan) Hunderup, Gray (Breanna) Hunderup, both of Humboldt, TN, Allison (Josh) Baker of Cornville, AZ, Ben Belgarde and Sam Belgarde. both of Poulsbo, WA and many great nieces and great nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend H. A. Hunderup, Jr. and Dorothy Foy Hunderup and his brother, Ted M. Hunderup.  

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Tipton County Sheriff's Department, the Gilt Edge Fire Department and all first responders for their efficiency and professionalism.  Special recognition goes to Marissia Johnson, 3rd Floor ICU at Methodist Hospital North and all the staff who took such wonderful care of him in ICU and Michelle Austin, Chloe Johnson, Amanda Alvey, Ms. Brenda and all the staff who devoted so much time and care to him on the 5th floor.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home.
