Cordie Knight, 96, of Burlison, passed away on Monday, September 17. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 20 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in the Charleston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19 at the funeral home. She was a retired factory worker with the Covington Furniture Company and a member of the Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Donald) Pittman of Brighton and Joyce (Mike) Howard of Burlison; one brother, Bobby Gray of Arlington; one sister, Alma Lightfoot of Brighton; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrtle Mashburn Gray; her husband, Cecil Winford Knight; one daughter, Shirley Huggins; two sons, W. D. Knight and Sanford Knight; one grandson, Tony Knight; six brothers, Robert Gray, Tommy Gray, Joe Gray, Wayne Gray, Arzell Gray and W. C. Gray and two sisters, Lena Kent and Betty Scott.
