Cimberly Rene’ Hester Howard, age 54, of Atoka, passed away peacefully at her home on August 6, 2022 surrounded by her loving family after a tough battle with cancer. She was born in Memphis on June 27, 1968. She was the daughter of Ronda Roush Hester and the late Charles Russell Hester, Jr. She leaves behind her beloved husband and co-pilot, Chris Howard; two children, daughter, Christin and son, Ryan; her mother, Ronda Roush Hester; two brothers, Charles R. “Chuck” Hester, III and Christopher Ronald (Neala) Hester; three nephews, Chad Hester, Rylen Hester, and Caleb Hester; two nieces, Cami Hester and Adelin Hester; two great nephews and a great niece and other family members and friends. She also leaves her faithful service dog, Luna. She graduated from Kingsbury High School in Memphis and received an associate’s degree from Southwest Community College. She worked for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Dept. as a paramedic. Cimberly was a talented singer/song writer. She has written and recorded several songs. Her best known song is “You Know Me”. She was an actress and appeared in several TV shows and commercials. She was also a talented artist who loved to sit in her “Hippie Hut” and sing, paint, make crazy videos and watch her fish. She had a huge love for all animals. She was an accomplished equestrian, dog trainer and wild life rehabber. She loved traveling with Chris on their Harley, making new friends and having new adventures. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 12 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Indian Creek Cemetery in Brighton. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 11 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
