Christopher W. Cross

Christopher Wade Cross, of Brighton, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was 64. During his working years, he was part of a construction team where he worked on large projects and operated heavy machinery. He loved construction, but valued his family time more, and often times when he would be out of state working for weeks on end, he would drive hundreds of miles in just a few days, just to spend the weekend with his family, playing with his kids or watching wrestling with his father. He was a kind and generous man, a loving husband and father, a good friend and neighbor, and he will be missed dearly.

Mr. Cross is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Toni Bramble Cross; his children and step-children, Michael Cross, Cathy Cross, Travis Jackett and Tori Jackett; his grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Jameson “Jamie”, Jace, Jada, Kayleigh, Ember, Hailey, Khaleesie, and Lexie, and his siblings, Charles Cross, Gary Cross, and Dorothy Cross.

Funeral services for Mr. Cross will be held on Saturday, November 9th at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Covington Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Walton Cemetery in Covington. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
